Welcome to the home of the South East Texas Association of Black Journalists (SETXABJ). Our non-profit organization has been serving African American journalists in the Golden Triangle area for several years. We are also your local connection to the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).

Our local board of directors works in conjunction with the national board to ensure that we are providing quality programs and support to all of our professional and student members. In the days to come, we will be fine-tuning our new website with 'news you can use'. Please check back for updates, photos, video, and special events.

If you're a media professional other than a working journalist, you are also welcome. We have members in Public Relations, Public Affairs, and Media Relations. Our members are in print, TV, online and in the literary world. We are innovative journalists, with an eye toward leveraging the Internet and its unique storytelling capabilities. Among our ranks are social media practitioners, digital content producers, and multimedia experts.

But SETXABJ is not just an organization; it's a place to find and offer help. The opportunities we make available to our members are invaluable and during these turbulent economic times, we are your source for job leads and career development programs. In addition, we award thousands of dollars in scholarships each year.
